Talent show

The kids love to do talent shows for me when we go to our property in Monroe.  They climb up on this makeshift animal covering, sing a song and our dance and then jump off.  It's a good short activity during our long afternoons😉!

Swimming lessons

Eli and Ivy had their first swimming lessons last week.  They went Monday through Friday for a week and did great!!  Eli really took to the water quickly and although he doesn't have great form yet, he's starting to get skills and confidence in the water.  Ivy loves the water, however, she clung to her teacher most of the time.

BYU Women's Conference

This past Thursday and Friday I had the blessing of going to the BYU women's conference in Orem, UT!!  My mom flew up from Gilbert and my friend Michelle drove up with me.  We all stayed at my sister and BIL's house in Lehi (Diana and Jake).  It was such a great time!!!

Kodachrome camping

Last weekend we went to Kodachrome near Bryce Canyon to camp for the weekend!!  It was the George and Lela Jones reunion so there were quite a few people there, although not as many as normal I think due to the cold weather (it got below freezing and rained most of the last day)!  I'm still so glad we went!!

Eli's Birthday and October Fun!

Eli turned the SIX (6) this October and one of his gifts was a king costume which he absolutely loves!!  I'm so glad!  He had like twenty kids to his birthday party that we held and grandma and grandpas (since we stayed with them for a month) and it was a blast for the kids (crazy for the momma hence no pictures)!

Ivy got a Mini Mouse costume for Halloween which I washed in too hot of water right away and it pulled off half the dots on the dress 😱!  Owell... She still looked darling!

I took the kids on a field trip to the pumpkin patch with other homeschoolers which was a good time!

Eli and his buddy Kinin crack me up!  They are only about two years apart in age, but they look adorable with their costumes and height difference!  Love it! Kinin's mom is my good friend Michelle!

Farewell to a good man!

My beloved mission president, Richard R. George, passed away this last weekend. Yesterday, I was honored and blessed to attend his funeral services.

I got a big hug from Sister George which got me all choked up!  I love this couple so tenderly, so dearly!  It's hard to describe in words what a person experiences on their mission, but I couldn't have asked for more amazing role models!  I am grateful for them and their love and service!

One thing I learned at the funeral was that to be grateful, is to actually reciprocate what you are grateful for!  I pray I can be truly grateful for their examples!!

I also was so happy to visit with some of my dear friends from the mission!  I have such wonderful memories with many of them and shared experiences!  I look forward to our mission reunion in April 2015!💞
