Beet kvass

Getting on my beet kvass tonight at 1am... 

I have so many tomatoes etc still to bottle, but it's supposed to snow this weekend!!!!  I'm so not ready!

I love this green wall in our dining / kitchen area!!  It's a constant reminder of the blessings in my life... Family, friends and having eternal perspective!!  Love it!

Ninja mask...

The other day we were quite busy, but Eli wanted a Ninja mask so bad!!  So I searched on the internet and found a way to make a mask with a t-shirt... it did the trick and was pretty cool!:

We will have to perfect it later, but I really like the idea.

Eli-ism Friday

As we were driving Dow the road today, Eli asked me this most intelligent question out of the blue:

"Mom, how did you know Dirk was a good man when you were going to marry him?"

I LOVE Summer!!

Summer is almost over and I"m a little sad about this :(.  Don't get me wrong, I love fall and winter and spring, but I LOVE sitting on the front porch eating watermelon with my kiddos enjoying the sunshine!!  I LOVE fresh flower bouquets and I LOVE sitting in the grass talking and playing and I LOVE having a garden and I LOVE sunshine.  There is so much of God everywhere in the summer time and I LOVE that!!

Emmitt's Baby Blessing July 7, 2013

I have more pictures to post from Emmitt's blessing, but they are on my in-laws computer.  So until then, I'll post the one I have of me and Emmitt...

Emmitt didn't cry the whole day... He's such a sweet natured boy!  His daddy gave him a beautiful blessing and I just know Emmitt will live his life to fulfill those blessings. :)

We had a picnic afterwards at the Joseph park.  Dirk's entire family was there along with my parents, Emma and Julia's family (minus Tyler).

I love getting together as a family and I especially love having kids so it all worked out great! ;)
